• Torrent Power Limited has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary namely "Torrent PSH 2 Private Limited".

ORDER WINS:

• Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has bagged an order for 188 Solar pumps worth ₹8.79 Cr., for supply, installation, and commissioning of Solar Water Pumping Systems.

• Jupiter Wagons secures a Ministry of Defence order to manufacture and supply 697 Boggie Open Military Wagons for about ₹473 Cr.

• Suzlon bagged a new 225 MW order for their 3 MW series from Everrenew Energy Private Ltd.

• Surya Roshni secured a ₹72 Cr. order, including GST, from Odisha Urban Infrastructure Development Fund for Project and Maintenance of LED Street Lighting Project in 16 Urban Local Bodies in Odisha.

• KPI Green Energy won new order of 2.10 MW for executing solar power projects under 'Captive Power Producer' Segment of the Company.

MERGERS/ ACQUISITIONS/ AMALGAMATION:

• Reliance Industries Ltd. subscribed to 3300 Cr. 9% non-convertible redeemable preference shares of Re.1/- each of  Alok Industries Limited, for cash at par, totalling to ₹3,300 Cr.

• Bajaj Finance extended the completion of the acquisition of a 26% stake in Pennant Technologies Pvt Ltd to Feb 29.

• Bharti Airtel Ltd. has entered into an agreement for acquisition of 49,45,239 equity shares representing 97.1% stake in another Bharti Group company, Beetel Teletech Ltd.

• Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has acquired 100% of shares of a company incorporated in Israel “Libra Merger Ltd”.

• Tata Steels: The NCLT has sanctioned the scheme of amalgamation between Tata Steel and The Tinplate Company of India.

JOINT VENTURES:

• SJVN: Ministry of Finance approved to the proposal of the Company & Ministry of Power to form 4 JVs for the development of Hydro & Renewable Projects in India & Nepal (the company will be leading partner in 3 Jvs and its subsidiary will be leading partner in fourth one).

BONUS SHARE ISSUE:

• KP Energy considered and recommended issue of Bonus Equity Shares in the proportion of 2:1.

SHARE PRICE SPLIT:

•  Indian Link Chain Manufacturers Ltd recently implemented a stock split, reducing the face value from ₹100 to ₹10 per share. The shares began trading ex-split on January 3rd.

• Nestle India executed a stock split by reducing its nominal value from ₹10 to ₹1 per share. The shares began trading ex-split on January 5th.

• Pearl Global Industries Limited underwent a stock split, halving its nominal value from ₹10 to ₹5 per share. The ex-split trading commenced on January 5th.

AGREEMENTS:

• GAIL (India) Limited and Vital Asia Pte Ltd. have agreed to a decade-long deal to supply around one million metric tons of LNG annually to India from 2026.

• GAIL (India) and truAlt Bioenergy Ltd. have signed a Term Sheet for GAIL's equity participation in TruAlt's JV, Leafinti Bioenergy Ltd. which owns and operates India's second CBG plant.

• Adani Total Gas and Shigan Quantum Technologies have signed an MoU to establish an ecosystem for cleaner fuel adoption, focusing on CNG and LNG to decarbonize the supply chain.

•  NHPC entered into a MoU with Gujarat Power Corporation Ltd for proposed investment of  ₹4,000 Cr. in Kuppa Pumped Storage Project (750 MW), Chhota Udaipur, Gujarat, starting in 2024-25.

• Torrent Power signed 4 MoUs with Government of Gujarat entailing investments of ₹47,350 Cr.

• DCM Shriram has signed a MoU with the Government of Gujarat to invest a proposed ₹12,000 Cr in manufacturing of Chemical and Petrochemicals products in the Bharuch by 2028.

OTHER IMPORTANT NEWS:

• Exide Industries has raised the corporate guarantee for its wholly-owned subsidiary, Exide Energy Solutions, from ₹2000 Cr. to 3000 Cr. in support of credit facilities from various banks.

• Ultratech Cement guaranteed $147 million for its UAE subsidiary's credit from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Singapore Branch.

• Wipro Ltd.’s step-down subsidiary, Rizing Middle East DMCC, has been voluntarily dissolved with effect from January 18, 2023.

• Shyam Metalics launched QIP to raise up to Rs 3,600 crore at a floor price of ₹597.63/share.

• Sameera Agro & Infra Ltd: Infrastructure development and Agri-food processing.

• Aik Pipes & Polymers Ltd: Manufactures pipes.

• Akanksha Power & Infrastructure Ltd: Manufactures electrical equipment.

• Shri Balaji Valve Components Ltd: Manufactures Valve components and forging products.
